P.L.A.Y. Named 1 of Dr. Becker's Best at the Global Pet Expo

Lately we’ve been attending a lot of pet shows and conferences around the country. First San Francisco, then Seattle and currently Orlando. It’s been a crazy few months for us since we launched P.L.A.Y. in late November, but crazy in a good way. People really seem to be loving our beds, and we're ecstatic to announce that we've been named one of Dr. Becker's Best of 2011 at the Global Pet Expo!...

15 years ago, Betsy and Jared Saul came up with the idea to help homeless animals find their forever homes. Their idea to connect shelter animals with potential adopters became soon became Petfinder.com. While they thought it might not make a huge difference, they decided that if it helped save the life of one homeless pet per month, all the work would be worthwhile. Little did they know, 15 years later they would save the lives of over 17 million pets...

This past month, we had a great photo contest with Dog-Milk. Entrants submitted photos of their pups for a chance to win a Cameo bed from our Artist Collection. We got some amazing submissions; dogs with no beds, dogs who chewed up their beds, and dogs whose beds were just too small. It was a tough decision narrowing down all of entrants to just five finalists – but we left the harder decision to you, the people. After a week of voting, Preston, the absolutely adorable pit-bull won over all our hearts (how could he not, with that sad face!) and became the winner of our first ever photo contest. We loved this little guy so much; we reached out to his human, Ken Decost to learn more about their story together…

Its hard to believe that Momo is no longer the little puppy we got a couple years ago. It's amazing what a lasting impression these little furballs leave in our lives. A friend of mine recently had her 13 year old German Shepard pass away, and it made me think of how little time we really have with our best friends....

On the first Sunday of every month, you can usually find over 50 pugs and their humans at San Francisco's Alta Vista park. A great opportunity for dogs AND their owners to meet new friends and socialize, these events have become increasingly popular over the years...
