Over the past two years, people around the world have been captivated by the sad story of one poor pup. Today, Lennox was put to sleep by the Belfast City Council who deemed him to be dangerous, just because he was a "pit-bull type" dog. At P.L.A.Y., we are 100% against Breed Specific Legislation, and send our heartfelt condolences to his family and all others who mourn his passing.
To some, all of this commotion over one dog may seem a bit excessive. To dog lovers like us, Lennox represented a whole breed of misunderstood and mistreated souls that just simply deserve better. At any given time, there are approximately 35,000 bully dogs in shelters across the nation - each awaiting his or her fate. In his memory, all we can do is continue to thank and support the countless number of people and rescue groups who are working to change this perception.
RIP Lennox.Â
